The man who secured Gloucester City promotion in 2009, Matt Rose, has rejoined the Tigers as new Assistant Manager.\r\n\r\nHowever, in a coaching reshuffle, long-term assistant Adie Harris has decided to leave after the City stalwart declined a new scouting role, a decision that has left Mehew ‘gutted’.\r\n\r\nThe players were informed of this change tonight at training.\r\n \r\n“I spoke with Neil Mustoe and Adie about their roles and Adie’s was going to change a little to do some scouting,” Mehew said.\r\n \r\n“But he didn’t want to do it and has decided to leave, and I’m gutted about that because he’s been involved with the club for eight years and my assistant for six.\r\n \r\n“Adie has been a brilliant servant to the club and a brilliant assistant for me and it’s the end of an era but I needed to do something to freshen things up.”\r\n\r\n“I think that Matt will give us a fresh impetus, a fresh set of eyes looking at things and he’s a big, big character in the dressing room.”\r\n\r\nYou’ll be able to read more of Mehew’s interview in tomorrow’s Gloucester Citizen.
