A less-than compelling 90 minutes of football in the North East saw Gloucester City lose to a well-drilled Darlington 1883 side, who pounced on two costly mistakes by the Tigers.

A slow tempo opening period saw both sides struggling to maintain possession.

Joe Parker tried to volley a dipping, whipped cross by Ed Williams towards goal but it was more sliced than anything and travelled well wide of Jameson’s goal.
