A late comeback spearheaded by Adam Mann and Scott Wilson secured Gloucester City their second consecutive pre-season victory at Cinderford Town.\r\n\r\nThe Southern League Division One side broke the deadlock through Darren Preen with a little over 20 minutes remaining after the Tigers had dominated much of the game.\r\n\r\nHowever, for a second pre-season game in a row, City came from behind with a Mann thunderbolt and Wilson’s perfectly weighted shot in the final ten minutes completing the victory.\r\n\r\nTim Harris’ men had started the brighter on a lovely evening in the Forest of Dean as Charlie Griffin smashed a speculative effort onto the woodwork.\r\n\r\nJoe Donaghue responded with a cheeky dribble into the Tigers penalty area, forcing a good save out of Harvey Rivers.\r\n\r\nMatt Groves and Griffin traded multiple chances, the best of which saw Griffin denied by a fantastic save from Foresters goalkeeper Alex Harris.\r\n\r\nThe ex-Bristol Rovers man Groves was a continued nuisance for City down the right hand side as his shot was deflected into the path of Elliott Chamberlain but Harris’ cat-like reflexes kept the game goalless.\r\n\r\nThe Cinderford goal was living a charmed life with Mann and Griffin combining superbly only for Harris to stand firm yet again during a frustrating half for the Tigers front-men.\r\n\r\nDespite over a dozen attempts on goal, the Tigers roared out for the second half, after a bevy of substitutes, still level as Wilson turned on a sixpence to shoot wide.\r\n\r\nPreen had been Cinderford’s main attacking outlet through most of the game and tested substitute Mike Green who parried away.\r\n\r\nThat shot was a warning as Preen scored brilliantly just past the hour mark, leaving a trail heading into the box and coolly slotting under the out-coming goalkeeper for the lead.\r\n\r\nMann had been subbed but due to a knock to Chamberlain the City forward returned back onto the field and with near enough his first touch cannoned the ball past Harris for a stunning equaliser.\r\n\r\nThe game was won two minutes after as Wilson let the ball pass across his body before rifling the winner into the bottom corner of the goal.\r\n\r\nCinderford Town:  A.
