10-man Gloucester City stopped the rot of six league games lost in a row by grinding out a well-deserved three points at Altrincham.

With both teams testing the waters in the early stages, neither side could muster a meaningful chance before Joe Parker thought he had given City the lead.

Parker, latching onto a sublime threaded through ball by Wolves loanee Ross Finnie, finished well past Deasy at the near post but the linesman’s flag was up quickly.
