A sumptuous late chip from Harry Williams was the hammer blow for Telford as Gloucester City claimed a vital three points over the Bucks.\r\n\r\nThe Bucks had the ball in the net early on but it was rightfully ruled out for offside, after a flick on found Richard Peniket.\r\n\r\nA rasping cross from the left by Lewis Hall was met with a strong header from Chris Knowles but on loan Wolves stopper Harry Burgoyne got down well to gather it.\r\n\r\nThe Tigers gained confidence from this and a goal-bound volley from the edge by Joe Hanks unfortunately deflected off Anoruo and over.\r\n\r\nThe Bucks had penalty shouts waved away by referee Simon Barrow after Sam Austin seemed to just run into the back of Mike Green.\r\n\r\nOnce more Telford thought they had scored following a deft chip from Tom Tonks that found Hibbert who nodded home but the linesman’s flag was up.\r\n\r\nA slick passing move from the Tigers nearly saw them take the lead in the best move of the half, but Luke Hopper’s strike was deflected into the arms of Burgoyne.\r\n\r\nThe Tigers looked dangerous at the start of the second period, with Anoruo nearly turning in a Lewis Hall cross at the near post.\r\n\r\nBucks fans went into raptures thinking their side had broken through the Tigers defence when Austin cut inside and lashed a shot into the side netting.\r\n\r\nMan of the match Sam Avery was the Tigers hero as he blocked on the line following a turn and shot from Hibbert.\r\n\r\nJasbir Singh was forced to atone for his errors after his clearance left a lot to be desired. Clancy pounced on the ball and Singh was out quickly to block.\r\n\r\nCity had two chances cleared off the line as they looked to open the scoring. Heroic defending from Deaman and Clancy denied Avery and Knowles respectively.\r\n\r\nClancy was continuing to pose a threat to Singh’s clean sheet as he let fly a stinging effort that barely went the wrong side of the post.\r\n\r\nWith time running out, City were pressing more and more. Hanks fed the ball into Joe Parker who turned in the area and shot but it was deflected behind.\r\n\r\nCity finally had the breakthrough all their hard work had deserved when Harry Williams finished calmly past Burgoyne.\r\n\r\nA splendid through ball from Knowles was latched onto by Williams who lofted a delightful chip past the on-loan Wolves stopper and into the net.\r\n\r\nCity nearly doubled their lead after they hit the Bucks on the counter, but Parker’s stunning effort was matched with an even better save.\r\n\r\nAFC Telford United: Burgoyne, Samuels, Hutchinson, Deaman, Campion (Brownhill 50’), Austin, Rea (capt) (Rowe 77’), Clancy, Tonks, Peniket (Reid 61’), Hibbert\r\n\r\nSubs: Dawson, Grogan\r\n\r\nGloucester City: Singh, Green, Jones, Cundy, Avery, Hall (E.
