Date: Saturday March 21st 2015\r\nCompetition: Vanarama Conference North\r\nVenue: Bower Fold, Stalybridge\r\nKickoff: 3pm\r\n\r\nGloucester City head into the fixture against Stalybridge Celtic this Saturday knowing that a win will see them move 8 points clear of their Manchester-based rivals in the run-in to the end of the season.\r\n\r\nThe Tigers currently sit in 19th place in the Vanarama Conference North, just 2 and 5 points clear of Colwyn Bay and Stalybridge respectively, but with games in hand over both the teams below and the next 3 above them.\r\n\r\nCity go into the game following a missed opportunity to pick up points at home to high-flying Boston last weekend, as the Lincolnshire team made the trip back North with 3 points after securing a 1-0 victory.\r\n\r\nIn the last 3 meetings between the teams, the points have been shared 4 points apiece, with the most recent meeting ending in a Celtic victory at Whaddon Road in November. The last time the teams faced at Bower Fold, City pulled off a 2 goal comeback thanks to goals from Joe Parker and a last minute header from Darren Mullings.\r\n\r\nTeam news: \r\n\r\nTom Webb is set to captain the team on his 600th appearance for the Tigers tomorrow, with Jack Harris out with a knee injury. We are currently awaiting the results of his latest scan.\r\n\r\nGeorge Miller’s road to recovery is going well and is expected to start light rehab next week. Manager Tim Harris believes it will be at least 3 to 4 weeks before Miller is in contention for a place in the team if everything goes well.\r\n\r\nThe rest of the squad is fit for tomorrow’s clash and the Tigers will welcome attacking midfielder Connor Thompson to the squad for tomorrow’s match.\r\n\r\nThompson, who has previously played for Swindon Town, Baltimore Bohemians and more recently in a behind-closed-doors friendly for Coventry City, has been training with the club for just under 2 months now and international clearance has come through in time for tomorrow’s trip.\r\n\r\nYou’ll be able to catch all of the action from Bower Fold on Twitter (@GCAFCofficial) and Facebook (GCAFCofficial) from 2.45pm tomorrow afternoon.\r\n\r\nGloucester City’s media coverage is sponsored by Baylis Motors.
