\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nDate: Saturday August 9th\r\nCompetition: Vanarama Conference North\r\nVenue: Whaddon Road\r\nKick-off: 3pm\r\nPrices: £12 adults, £6 students and OAP’s, Under 18’s free.\r\nOpponents: Bradford Park Avenue were formed in 1907 as simply Bradford, but were known as Park Avenue due to their stadium at the time.\r\n\r\nBradford were members of the Football League from 1908 until their original liquidation in 1974, during this period the club reached the FA Cup quarter finals on three seperate occasions.\r\n\r\nThey were revived in 1974 as a Sunday league side and returned to Saturday football in 1989. They were founding members of the Conference North in 2004 and were promoted to the league once again in 2012 beating FC United of Manchester in the play-off final.\r\n\r\nTeam news: We are now more hopeful that new signing Chris Jones will receive international clearance from the FA in time for the big kick off, progress is being made as we await official confirmation.\r\n\r\nWith a real positive air of optimism around the club with nine new summer signings, we should be seeing a few debuts with Adam Connolly earmarked to start, Elliott Chamberlain, Sam Avery, Spencer Hamilton and Matt Williams all vying for starting position.\r\n\r\nWe now have a very healthy squad, the competition for places will be as strong as ever.\r\n\r\nThe two main injuries for the Tigers are club captain Jack Harris out for another two weeks and experienced midfielder Lewis Hogg likely to be out for another 4–6 weeks.\r\n\r\nStrikers Will Morford and Nat Jarvis have signed dual registrations with Shortwood United and Cirencester Town respectively and will be playing for the two this weekend.\r\n\r\nYou’ll be able to catch all of the action from Whaddon Road on Twitter (@GCAFCofficial) and Facebook (GCAFCofficial), and live commentary on Severn Sport.
