Gloucester City striker Joe Parker has made a dream move to the Football League and League Two club Newport County.\r\n\r\nThe 18-year-old, who is a product of the Tigers’ youth system, has impressed so far this season and made his mark with a 19-minute hat-trick in the FA Cup against Yate Town which saw him named ‘Player of the Round’.\r\n\r\nParker leaves with the best wishes of City boss Dave Mehew as he looks to join former Tigers’ manager, and now Newport Director of Football, Tim Harris in South Wales.\r\n\r\nDespite not being on contract with the club, the Gwent club have agreed to loan Parker back to City for the remainder of the 2013/14 season after the pre-contract signing which will come into effect on January 1st.\r\n\r\nParker will return to City at no extra cost and a friendly has been set-up between the two clubs for next pre-season.
