Gloucester City are delighted to announce that we have signed Newport County striker Joe Parker on an month’s loan deal.\r\n\r\nThe young forward, who is a product of the Gloucester City youth development system, had an encouraging pre-season for the Welsh side, but has found his first team chances limited since.\r\n\r\nParker moved to the League Two outfit in January last year, but was immediately loaned back to the Tigers for the rest of the 2013/14 season.\r\n\r\nMemorably Parker scored a 19 minute hat-trick in the FA Cup Third Qualifying Round replay against Yate Town, seeing him pick up the coveted Player of the Round award.\r\n\r\nBack at the club, manager Tim Harris believes Parker will add the clinical finishing at the Tigers have missed so far this season.\r\n\r\n“It’s great to welcome Joe back and to give him the opportunity of regular first team football,” Harris said.\r\n\r\n“He has had a good pre-season under his belt and benefitted from full time training for Newport County.\r\n\r\n“I am confident that Joe will add a goal threat and take some of the many chances we have created.”
