Super striker Will Morford says he was shocked to win Supporters’ Player of the Season.\r\n\r\nThe 24-year-old who recently made his 200th appearance for the Tigers, said he was honoured to receive the award.\r\n\r\n”I certainly didn’t expect to win,” he said. “I don’t really know what to say. I’ve had a few hard years (at Gloucester) and I know I’ve done a lot better this season but to win is still a huge surprise so thank you to everyone who voted for me.\r\n\r\n”I know I haven’t scored enough goals and I’ve had a few off games but the fans have been behind me the whole time.”\r\n\r\nWith Players’ Player of the Year set to be awarded at the End of Season Presentation, Will wouldn’t reveal who he voted for but he did single out a couple of his teammates who could be in contention.\r\n\r\nHe said: “I think Darren Mullings has had a great season, he’s really underrated, he’s been consistently good. Adam Mann has also had a decent season, he’s really improving.\r\n\r\n”If Darren Edwards hadn’t been sent off at Workington he could’ve won Supporters’ Player, he’s scored lots of good goals.”\r\n\r\nKeep an eye on the official site this week for Will’s top five goals of the season.
