Chairman Mike Dunstan has a message for fans regarding the Gold Bond Lottery scheme and how you can help Gloucester City.

\r\n

“We set this up a year ago and it’s been a decent success in its first year,  but we still need to grow this if it is to make a big impact on our ability to build the club at all levels!

\r\n

“It’s generated a useful sum that has certainly been a big help, and we are really grateful to all of you who have been members – some of you have won already (a couple of you quite a few times!).

\r\n

“But you look at what Worcester City has achieved and their Gold Bond Lottery (exactly the same scheme as ours) is making £47,000 a year – or to put it another way, enough to put well over £1000 gross on the wage bill (if they choose to spend it in that way!).  That’s a fantastic effort from a club of similar size to our own.

\r\n

“So how do we grow ours to make a similar impact?  Well firstly if you have been thinking of joining then please do! It’s a great 12-month-a-year income for us and a great chance to win some big cash prizes for yourself!”

\r\n

Details of how to do so can be found at http://www.gloucestercityafc.com/?page_id=4739).

\r\n

“But on top of that if we are to make a game-changing amount like Worcester the current approach alone won’t get us there, we need to sell this to people who are not Gloucester City supporters, but who like a cheap, affordable flutter with a much higher chance of winning than the National Lottery!

\r\n

“To that end I am launching an alternative that I hope will be of interest to some of you.

\r\n

“Basically we are looking for agents to sell the lottery in their workplaces, social clubs or to family friends and neighbours.

\r\n

“In return the agent will receive a commission package and also 10% of whatever their members win for prizes from £25 and up (so if an agent sells an entry to someone who wins the weekly top prize of £2000, as well as their routine commission they would receive a £200 bonus!

\r\n

“Agents rounds can be as big or as small as you wish – but the more people the better the earnings! If just 10 people get 10 players that’s another 100 people supporting the club!

\r\n

“Agents don’t need to be supporters, and can even be businesses – there are lots of examples of corner shops or businesses acting as agents for instance.

\r\n

“Would you be interested in doing this, or do you know someone (supporter or not, business or individual) who might be interested?  If so then please contact me at  [email protected] and I will get straight back to you.”
