National League South

Kick Off: 15:00

Jubilee Stadium

Overview:

City welcome newly promoted Slough Town to the Jubilee this weekend in their third game of the new season.

Marc Richards’ side bounced back from their disappointing opening day defeat to Concord, with a well-deserved win over Oxford City in midweek.

Jake Jackson’s second-half strike was enough to seal City’s first points of the season and the Tigers will be looking to make it back to back wins against the Berkshire side.

City currently sit 13th in the National League South table after just two games, three places above this weekend’s visitors.

The Opposition:

Saturday’s opponents are without a win in their opening two fixtures, they began the campaign with a 1-1 draw at Hampton & Richmond, Warren Harris scoring to earn the Rebels a point at Arbour Park.

They were then narrowly beaten away at Chippenham Town in midweek, Nathaniel Jarvis scoring late on to hand the newly promoted side their first defeat of the new season.

The Rebels brought in a host of new signings over the summer, including Louie Soares from Hungerford, and Sam Togwell from Eastleigh. The 33-year-old has represented the likes of Chesterfield, Barnet and Barnsley in the Football League.

The visitors, however, will be without Togwell for the trip to the Jubilee, having picked up a knee injury in Tuesday’s defeat.

Perry Coles provides the threat going forward, the striker has a one in two goal-scoring record since joining the club back in February.

Pacey winger James Dobson is another to look out for, the club’s top scorer last season in their promotion push has made over 150 appearances for the Rebels.
