Bath City vs Gloucester City Preview
Monday 2nd April 2018
National League South
Kick Off: 3pm
The Tigers travel to Bath City on Easter Monday in the National League South.
City were left frustrated after Saturday’s game with St Albans was called off due to the weather.
The two sides are separated by just 5 points in the table with City having a game in hand on their old foes.
Marc Richards side ran out 2-1 winners when the sides last met back in August. Goals from Joe Parker and Zachary Kotwica were enough to take all 3 points.
Victory for City could lift them up to 12th in the table, as we head into the final month of the season.
Our hosts are not in great form going into today, just one win in the last 6 league games has seen them slip down the table in recent weeks.
They have struggled at home this season with only 5 wins in 18 games at Twerton Park.
Last week, Bath played out a 1-1 draw with Hemel Hempstead at the Vauxhall Ground. A first-half strike from Sean Rigg was cancelled out by Sanchez Watt, who equalised just six minutes later.
Former Portsmouth midfielder Jack Compton is Bath’s top scorer this season, the 29-year-old Scot has 7 league goals so far this campaign.
Unfortunately for City, Richards confirmed forward Harry Williams is likely to miss the rest of the season, after limping off early on at Hempstead last weekend.
Marc Richards: “It looks like a torn hamstring, so it could be the end of his season which is really disappointing.
“It’s a shame, he’s been playing really well recently.”
