City host Hungerford Town on Saturday as they look to continue their good vain of form which has seen them climb up the table in recent weeks.
The Tigers have lost just twice since the turn of the year and will be looking for their third win in a row. A first half strike from Joe Parker earned all three points last weekend at Eastbourne as confidence continues to grow heading into the run-in.
Victory for City coupled with a few results going their way elsewhere, could see them jump to as high as 11th.
A look at the Opposition
Standing in the way of another three points are a Hungerford side high on confidence after a spectacular 3-1 victory over promotion chasing St Albans last weekend eased their relegation fears.
As for the season so far, Hungerford have steadied the ship after enduring a difficult start to the campaign which included a horrific run of six straight defeats in November. Since then they have picked up some impressive wins over some of the divisions promotion chasing sides including Dartford.
Goals have been hard to come by for Berkshire side this season, with just 36 goals making them the third lowest scorers in the division.
Their biggest threat comes in the form of veteran midfielder Louie Soares. The 33-year-old is the club’s top scorer with 10 league goals this campaign.
The man from Barbados scored all three goals in the win at St Albans last Saturday.
If the reverse fixture back in August is anything to go by, then this should be an entertaining watch.
City ran out 3-2 winners in a thrilling encounter at Bulpit Lane. A double from Parker, along with a first half Ed Williams strike did the damage in what was City’s first away win of the season.
