Gloucester City Football Club can announce that we have signed Cheltenham Town midfielder Joe Hanks on loan.\r\n\r\nThe Tigers have taken Hanks until January, however Cheltenham have an option to recall the 20 year-old after the first 28 days of his spell.\r\n\r\nHanks was on loan with City for a period in the 2013/14 season where he played a key role in the Tigers’ survival battle before he was recalled.\r\n\r\nDuring this spell Hanks was very impressive and following increased exposure to Cheltenham Town’s first team in the Football League, we are delighted to have secured his services.\r\n\r\nSince making his Football League debut in 2013, Hanks has established himself as a key part of the Robins’ midfield last season.\r\n\r\nTim Harris said: “Central midfield is an area we need to freshen up a bit, given the number of games we have in such a short period of time.\r\n\r\n“Obviously we still have Tom Webb, George Miller and Chris Knowles out, so we needed to bring another option in.\r\n\r\n“I’ve spoken to Webby and his rehabilitation with Mangotsfield is going well but he still feels he needs a few more matches.”\r\n\r\nMeanwhile winger Ross Staley has joined Paulton Rovers on a dual registration deal.
