Gloucester City are delighted to announce the signing of Jasbir Singh on a two month loan deal from Kidderminster Harriers.\r\n\r\nThe goalkeeper will be a name known to City fans after Singh’s standout performances against the Tigers for Solihull Moors in recent seasons.\r\n\r\nSigned by the Conference Premier side in the summer, he has found his first team chances limited but City manager Tim Harris is thrilled to get Singh at the club.\r\n\r\n“I have been pleased by the performances of Jamie Stephens and Paul White during their loan spells, however to obtain someone who has consistently performed very well at this level to take us into the January transfer window is a real plus,” explained Harris.\r\n\r\n“Jas has not had much of look in at Kidderminster so far and when Gary Whild offered me the opportunity to sign him for the next two months this was an ideal scenario.”\r\n\r\n“To obtain goalkeepers of the quality of White, Stephens and Singh are probably out of our price range at this moment.”\r\n\r\n“When we move into January we will look at what we can obtain permanently as we continue with our policy of building a squad for the long term as opposed to a quick fix.”\r\n\r\nCommitting himself short term to the Tigers cause, Singh is hoping to be able to contribute to a resurgent City after the club has enjoyed back to back wins in the Vanarama Conference North.\r\n\r\n“I know this level well and I know how good a club this is and what it takes to be a success at the level,” explained the former Asian Non League Player of the Year.\r\n\r\n“My short term future is here at Gloucester, I need to work hard, get my head down and play well here for the next couple of months.”\r\n\r\n“My ambition is to keep as many clean sheets as possible, and if I do that, there are points on the board for the team.”\r\n\r\n“Looking at the league table at the moment doesn’t make good reading but hopefully we can change that around; it’s not even Christmas yet so it’s early days.”\r\n
