Tigers players were joined at the Cathedral by Miss Gloucester Juliette Crosby and Jamie McDonald, the first man to run unaided coast to coast across Canada, to help launch the club’s new shirt heading into the 2014/15 Conference North season.\r\n\r\nMcDonald, who spent nearly a year crossing the North American continent in extreme weather conditions, became a sensation in Canada and a local hero to people back in his hometown of Gloucester.\r\n\r\nThe runner raised nearly £200,000 for children’s charities in Canada and the United Kingdom, in particularly the club’s official charity partner the Pied Piper Appeal, and was pleased to be involved with the Tigers.\r\n\r\n“It’s been an absolute pleasure, what a nice spot to pick with the Cathedral and I absolutely love the new kit, I genuinely love it,” said McDonald.\r\n\r\n“Every single sport in Gloucester, especially football, needs as much support as it can possible get and I can’t wait to watch Gloucester City play!”\r\n\r\nMiss Gloucester Juliette Crosby brought some glamour to the launch and believes it’s important for the city to support the team more.\r\n\r\n“I feel really honoured to have been asked to come and launch the kit,” said Crosby.\r\n\r\n“I believe in loving local so I think it’s so important for Gloucester to get behind the team next season.”\r\n\r\nThe shirts again proudly carry the emblem of Prospect Training Services, who have signed up once again as shirt sponsors.\r\n\r\nProspect have been a fantastic partner for the club other a number of years and the club is delighted that they will be continuing that partnership for years to come.\r\n\r\nThe Tigers have also announced a two year partnership with Macron, who will be selling Gloucester City merchandise in their store on Cheltenham Road and on the club’s new official online store.\r\n\r\nThe new shirts are £29.99 for Adults and £24.99 for Juniors, with Season Ticket holders for 2014/15 claiming a £10 discount voucher to spend on Tigers merchandise.
