In light of the club’s ground application not being heard on the August Planning Committee meeting, Gloucester City would like to issue the following statement.\r\n\r\nThe club is very disappointed that it’s not been possible for the council planning committee to consider our reserved matters application at the August meeting.\r\n\r\nIt is necessary for the Council Lawyers to draw up a Deed of Variation relating to the Universal Undertaking signed last year in relation to the flood relief payments to the Environment Agency.\r\n\r\nUnfortunately due to very high levels of work in the council legal department it has not been possible to get this drawn up in time for the deadline.\r\n\r\nWe continue to work closely with all parties to get this completed quickly so that the whole package can be considered together (even if everything else had gone to committee this month a determination would not have been possible without that document).\r\n\r\nThe club is working through the implications of this delay, and remains committed to holding meetings with fans to discuss – a further meeting will be advertised in the next day or so.
