Gloucester City are pleased to confirm that the updated application will be considered by the City Council’s Planning Committee on the 6th September.\r\n\r\nThe updated application which is recommended for approval, covers changes to some of the conditions imposed on the original outline permission.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the Planning Officers are also seeking delegated powers to discharge the various planning conditions which the Club have been progressing.\r\n\r\nGiven the extensive work already done by the Club, Planning Officials and relevant statutory bodies, the expectation is that all of the various planning conditions will be cleared down shortly after the 6th September Planning Committee.\r\n\r\nThere will be a requirement for one further Committee meeting in October for the determination of the final detailed plans but by that point in time all the substantive work and discharge of the various relevant planning conditions will have been completed.\r\n\r\nThe Club has been able to negotiate a phased approach to some of the earlier conditions such as highway improvements which, subject to approval on the 6th September, will not now need to be undertaken until the Club moves to further phases of the development and the stadium capacity exceeds 3068.\r\n\r\nWe are also able to confirm that we have received assurances from the City Council’s Legal Department that the updated Legal Agreement will be issued next week in readiness for the 6th September Planning Committee.\r\n\r\nAs we reach the final steps in what has been a lengthy process we would like to thank all those who have worked so hard on this and also convey our thanks and appreciation to Gloucester City Council for its financial and planning support in helping to bring the Club home.
