Defender Chris Holland has joined Gloucester City from Gosport Borough.
He previously played for Gloucester in 2005 during a brief loan.
Chris has recently moved back to the area from Southampton. The 31-year-old will team up with his former Bath teammates Matt Coupe, Lewis Hogg and Darren Edwards.
Manager Dave Mehew said: “Chris is an experienced defender and gives us another option at the back. He obviously knows the lads who’ve come here from Bath and has slotted in well during training.
“Defensively we’ve had a poor start to the season so hopefully adding Chris to the mix will help address that. He’ll also give us a bit more flexibility at the back which is what we need with such a small squad.”
- City midfielder Darren Mullings looks set to miss most of the rest of the season. Darren dislocated his shoulder for the third season in a row during City’s game against Halifax. He now needs surgery to pin his shoulder and is likely to be out for several months.
