Gloucester City are proud to be able to tout the success of their new season ticket schemes that has been implemented for the 2014/2015 season.\r\n\r\nThe incredible enthusiasm shown by Tigers fans has seen many supporters renewing early and an encouraging amount of first-time buyers.\r\n\r\nThe club’s early bird offer ends on May 31st, with adult season tickets a cheap £190, meaning a saving of over £60 and concessions £95, a saving of over £30.\r\n\r\nThe Tigers have also been overwhelmed with the amount of free Under 18 season tickets that have been ordered with nearly 100 claimed, despite being two months until the beginning of the Skrill North season on August 9th.\r\n\r\nThe new scheme whereby existing holders can earn a discount for introducing maiden season ticket holders has been popular, at least one fan earning a free ticket by introducing five new season ticket purchasers.\r\n\r\nCity vice-chairman Mike Dunstan, who helped think of the radical scheme, has been thrilled by the response.\r\n\r\n“Season ticket sales are vitally important for setting the club off on the right foot each season, and we are delighted that the hard work the club has put into reshaping the scheme is being taken up by significant numbers of first-time or returning purchasers,” explained Dunstan.\r\n\r\n“This gives us real optimism for the coming season, but there are obviously still a fair few who have not yet renewed, and we would urge them, and anyone else to take advantage of our quite exceptional early bird prices by applying online on the official site before the end of the 31st May.”\r\n\r\nTouting the success of the club’s free for Under 18’s scheme; Dunstan is pleased that many young Gloucester people are taking advantage of the offer and supporting their local team.\r\n\r\n“We hope this will build enthusiasm and engagement from a generation who have not enjoyed having the team on their doorstep as we prepare to move home,” Dunstan explained.\r\n\r\n“To that end a season ticket is not actually required for free entry, but we think it important to offer the chance for the youth of the county to feel a connection to and stake in the club, so are more than happy to make them card-carrying season ticket holders if they so wish!”\r\n\r\n“The take up so far has been highly encouraging and would represent a huge increase in attendance from the youth of the City, so the Management Board is absolutely delighted with the way this is going.”
