Gloucester City have been handed a home tie in the Emirates FA Cup Third Qualifying Round, but will have to wait until Tuesday evening to find out their opposition.\r\n\r\nOne of Hemel Hempstead Town or Herne Bay FC will visit Whaddon Road, but they face a replay on Tuesday 20 September to determine who will face the Tigers in the next round after playing out a 1-1 draw on Saturday.\r\n\r\nDue to Cheltenham Town hosting Luton on Saturday 1 October, the tie will be moved back 24 hours and will instead be played on Sunday 1 October, 15:00 kick-off.\r\n\r\nHemel Hempstead play their league matches at the same level as the Tigers, but in the National League North’s sister league: the National League South, where they currently sit 15th with 12 points after 10 games.\r\n\r\nThe last time the two sides met was on the last day of the Tigers’ Southern League Premier promotion season of 2009, when Hemel Hempstead came out 2-1 victors that day.\r\n\r\nHerne Bay FC play their football in the Ryman League Southern Division, where they currently sit languishing in 20th place with just five points after six games.\r\n\r\nShould Herne Bay defeat their higher league opposition, it will mark the first time that the Tigers have ever faced the Bay in any fixture.\r\n\r\nAdmission prices for the game will be announced in due course.\r\n\r\nGloucester City’s next match is at home to Nuneaton Town in the National League North on Tuesday 20 September, where a win could see the Tigers move up to 3rd in the table.
