Day four of the Gloucester City AFC Advent Calendar is one for many Tigers fans to look back on with fondness.\r\n\r\nIn August 1994 City fans and the people of Gloucester were treated to some top class football, with Premier League giants Everton in town for a pre-season friendly.\r\n\r\n2,505 supporters packed into Meadow Park to watch the likes of £2,200,000 rated Vinny Samways, new signing Anders Limpar and the now Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett.\r\n\r\nThe mixed squad of senior and youth stars were shocked on 18 minutes as City goal-machine Karl Bayliss ran through to slot the ball passed the Toffee’s reserve goalkeeper Jason Kearton.\r\n\r\nAs the game’s end came near City looked like they might hold an unlikely victory, but in stoppage time a corner was swung in and young centre-half Neil Moore.\r\n\r\nAlthough some late disappointment, this packed out afternoon at Meadow Park is fondly remembered amongst Tigers fans.\r\n\r\nCheck out Bayliss’ strike here…\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nBy: Ollie Williams
